PopSense readers have finally made it clear to the world that, no matter how many rings you capture, a hedgehog will never actually be cool. On the other hand, a pair of overactive Italian plumbers riding small karts or beating up turtles, will always be badass. I'm very pleased to see that our readership is of strong Nintendo breed, it's the sort of camaraderie I feel with fellow Mac users and Toyota drivers as well. I think all three establishments share a current well-deserved success that really is putting a lot of other once-dominant companies in their place. Mac never really had its glory days till now, but they stuck to their guns, they produced machines that were user-friendly and attended to the human factor much more accurately than the likes of Dell, IBM, or the other PC-producing giants. Toyota did the same; fuel-efficient machines, lasted forever, got the job done; suddenly the big American cars don't seem so appealing with soaring gas prices and an increasingly more practically-minded society. Nintendo, though once the King, fell out of the top slot when those very same assholes (Sony, Microsoft) entered the gaming world with their showy computers that they disguised as gaming consoles during the reign of PS2 and Xbox. But, with games being essentially interchangeable between the two systems, and with their latest installments serving as a poor excuse to charge us absurd amounts of money for minimal upgrades (Do I really demand the graphics to be much better? How much space do I really need?) it was the Wii, Nintendo's latest pride and joy, that has come out on top. The Wii took the next step in gaming because Nintendo never forgot its roots; Super Nintendo and N64 ruled the scene for their unique games and legitimately fun game-play, they defined our 90s childhood, and they will always be the systems of choice.

Mac rules!
I totally agree with this! I never realized the connection between those three companies, but they really do all have that common thread of just sticking to their roots and eventually kicking ass over those big scary companies!
I still think Sega was sweet! haha, Dreamcast rocked yo.
BUT I like this point about those three companies pwning those rich mothers.
SUPER NINTENDO RULESSS! I'm happy the popsense public agrees.
Wii Sports rocks my socks.
