That CWS thing happened in 1919, the Cubs have had more recent infamous moments. Sammy Sosa corked bat in 2003, and his run with steriods (lied his way through to). Also the Cubs blew about 7 runs after a fan did his normal reaction to a ball coming at him, reach for it (in 03'). Of course I dont know if you remember that being 18 or something, making these writers at this page 12 or 13 when it happened.
ahh yes, i remember of course both the Sosa issues and the fan 'interference' incident. The point of the CWS reference was more just to make an unnecessary joke linking to Kevin Bacon lol. Thanks for the insight though!
