Oh hey, how's it going? You're looking wonderful. Have you lost weight? It really looks like you did. No, I'm serious. You look absolutely doable, and I don't mean that in a superficial way. Ok, fine I do, but take the complement. Now that I've buttered you up, you might want to sit down. I've got something unexpected to tell you…

Pushing Mongo has gone on an indefinite hiatus. Please, don't yell or freak out. I understand that you've got the CD's and bought a t-shirt. Yes, I know. You were at the shows screaming along to the words. Just calm down for a moment and let me explain. It's not as simple as you might think.

An indefinite hiatus is a technical term that a band uses when they want to take an extended break, but don't really have plans to get back together anytime soon. Still, we didn't want to use the term "break up". I've decided that it would be best if we just let this go.

I have done so much for this band. I booked every show. I burned every copy of every CD. I hand wrote every letter, and made every phone call to every promoter. Everything I've put into this project has gone unappreciated and unnoticed by the others. My songwriting contributions have been either ignored or not credited. Some of my ideas were played to crowds who unknowingly accredited someone else, but that never really mattered to me. I was fine with operating behind the scenes, but at this point, I'm done with that.

Beyond that, the songs were not doing it for me anymore. The rift between our songwriting styles has become a chasm. I didn't want to be in a washed-up Grunge band that took a year and a half to come up with a three song EP. We were once a great band, and lately we were just an idea. When I talked to potential managers, promoters, and festival organizers, what was I really trying to promote? It wasn't the band that walked up towards the stage and played lackluster show after lackluster show. I was promoting the idea of that band, and I personally believe that I owe much more to our fans than that. We couldn't continue being just a theory.

I thank everyone who has shown us love and compassion over these past four years, especially those of you here at Popsense, who have been so kind and helpful since I started writing these articles. I know I promised a future release exclusively through this site, and I will make good on my word. I will be writing and performing under a new project called All My Circuits, in which I will write and record everything on my own, along with some help from my friends. I will release material through PopSense sometime in the future, and I honestly will, as soon as I can get everything together.

Keep in mind, there is no animosity between any of the members. There is a chance that Pushing Mongo will perform again, but not any time soon. Again, I thank you all for your support, and hope that you will continue to follow my future endeavors.

As a little token of my thanks, here are two small glimpses into All My Circuits. They're just short simple instrumental tracks, so don't think too much of them, but expect much more soon. Thanks.

wow, dude, that sucks it had to end, your sound was so professional, but i totally understand the musical differences and it's good that you can see that before you get even deeper in and drift further away from what you want to be playing. Good luck and keep us posted!

I'm not surprised to hear that this wasn't your type of music really. When I looked at popsense and the music you talk about, then i looked at Pushing Mongo, something didn't seem to connect.

You are very talented and I can't wait to see what you decide to do from here, I know it will be great no matter what

But your reasoning is totally legit and as long as you keep making music and doing what you love, we'll be happy!

I've freakishly known about Pushing Mongo for a while, my friend from england actually introduced me to your music maybe 2 or 3 years ago. I'm so, so upset about this.
