Sleigh Bells Ring, Are You Listenin'? Cultural Conclusions 11/21
Jeffrey Luppino-Esposito EDITOR
When do you want to start hearing Christmas music on the radio?
a. Immediately (I <3 Bing Crosby) - 14.8%
b. After Thanksgiving (One Holiday at a time, please) - 57.4%
c. 2 weeks before Christmas (This isn't an arbitrary amount of time, I swear)- 16.7%
d. Never! (I am Jewish and/or hate Christmas) - 11.1%
I love being reminded of how intelligent our readership is. Yes, we do many ridiculous questions that have a bunch of absurd answers that are meant to make you internally reflect on how inappropriate you actually want to acknowledge that you are on any given day. But, with an extremely pertinent question like this, it's nice to see that you make the right decision. Of course a few of you are obsessed with Christmas, which I appreciate, others of you are confused and chose option C, and still others of you are Jewish and I love you for that. But still, Christmas music after Thanksgiving is fantastic. I think we can all agree that the best part of Christmas isn't actually Christmas at all. The build up is always incredible, and the event always seems a bit... premature? Anyway, get ready to turn your dials to the 24-hour-Christmas-Extravaganza starting in only a few days! Oh yeah, and you know you liked that title, definitely my best pun in a while... Also, is it a coincidence that we did a Christmas question BEFORE a Thanksgiving question...
