Collaboration, Coldplay, Killers, Kylie, Christmas... and Elton John!
Jeffrey Luppino-Esposito EDITOR
The Killers and Elton John have teamed up with Pet Shop Boy Neil Tennant, and a new Christmas song has been miraculously birthed from these remarkably dissimilar men. The result is admittedly odd, yet we here at PopSense can't say no to the opportunity of more Christmas songs to add to our shower-singing repertoire, and really anything that Elton John has put his flamboyantly fantastic hands on makes us smile. Granted, it's hard to accept that there are any other Christmas songs in existence once you have heard Josh Groban sing 'Oh Holy Night'. I dare anyone to disagree that if Jesus sang he would sound exactly like Groban.
That being said, if this doesn't do the trick for you, then get excited about another completely pulled-out-of-the-music-world's-ass combination of Coldplay and Kylie Minogue! Ok, so maybe they combined to do a song for AIDS awareness, but who's paying attention to that? Let's just claim it as totally uncalled for and random. But pretty good nonetheless... and potentially life saving...maybe.
