Today we usher in an exciting new era in PopSense polls, and what better way to do it than amidst the flames of an economic downfall and the smoke of Amy Winehouse's breath?

Let's break down these results and then we'll hop into the deets on our future diabolical poll-giving plans.

The Educational Goal of this Question: Make PopSense readers aware of the critical stock market situation... or at least of the existence of the stock market in general (Don't look so shocked, we've gotta start somewhere-- we have a few Perez Hilton readers who ended up over here by accident).

The Cultural Goal of this Question: Attempt to gauge how many PopSense readers gave two shits about Amy Winehouse, Lindsay Lohan, Tara Reid, and Jimmy Fallon, aka, the Mount Rushmore of Skankdom.

The Implications of these Results: When it comes to poll questions of this nature, one can literally feel the cultural ripples tear through the muddy waters of modern society upon revealing the final numbers. The same could be said for other equally epic events like the opening night of Titanic or that time I ate a sandwich three days ago and didn't put any mayo on it. Everyone knows I fucking love mayo.

Seeing Amy Winehouse take the win here comes as no real shock, as it follows the PopSense cultural formula to a tee. For you newcomers, the formula is simply: Insert actual current event, subtract the painfully-serious nature of said event, add a high-resolution image of Amy Winehouse's face, ignore the number of small children that lose their purpose of living after seeing said high-resolution image, equals Amy Winehouse victory.

In other news, Lindsay Lohan hasn't been attractive since it's been legal to think that Lindsay Lohan was attractive, Tara Reid is alive (I think), and Jimmy Fallon... well no one gives a shit about Jimmy Fallon.
