Perez Hilton Allegedly Assaulted by Will.I.Am's Manager After Perez Mocks Black Eyed Peas and Calls Will.I.Am a "Faggot"
If you thought the worst part of the Much Music Awards was over once Kelly Clarkson was off camera, then you were only partially right.
In the afterparty hours following the Toronto event, a showdown between Fergie, Will.I.Am., Will.I.Am's manager, and the Queen of Media, Perez Hilton, seems to have gotten wildly out of hand.
Posted below are the two videos of Will.I.Am preemptively defending his actions, and Perez's own video today, lashing out at Will.I.Am and his manager for allegedly assaulting the gossip blogger.
Watch the videos to form a mildly educated opinion, but here's what the two parties had to say of the cat fight:
Will.I.Am's Story (crudely summarized):
Video 1 - Perez was being a dick to Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas so I was all like, don't go there bro. And then he's like, "I don't respect you" and I'm like uhh ok and then he called me a 'fag' and I walked away. Then some fan punched him in the face.
Video 2 - WTF?! I told y'all what happened on my dip dive and now Perez is sending out Twitter messages saying he got assaulted by me and getting people to call the po po?! Shame Shame Shame.
Perez's Story (crudely summarized, though all quotes are accurate to video)
Violence is bad. "That's how people die." Fergie was getting all PMS-y on me about what I said about the new Black Eyed Peas album and then all this crazy shit went down. I wouldn't lie about this, "I don't need press, I don't need publicity." Anyway, I was straight chillin, Fergie got all bitchy, Will.I.Am came up to me and told me not to write about his band anymore, I told him he was "gay" and I asked him to "stop being such a faggot" since that seemed like the right thing to say. Then their manager punched me repeatedly in the face, I bled, tried to escape, kept getting followed, the police ignored my plea for help, I tweeted about my woes and (cue crying) I want to thank all of you who showed concern. Will.I.Am is a 'thug' and "I would have more respect if you hit me yourself" Will.I.Am. It's more like Sam.I.Am you lying child! "God is looking down on you and shaming you" Will/Sam.I.Am. Oh yeah and Fergie? "You're a fugly bitch!"
Our assessment:
We will be promptly removing any and all negative commentary regarding the Black Eyed Peas on this website out of fear for our lives. The Black Eyed Peas suck. Ok, besides that one.
The amount of 'shame' being tossed around in this affair is humorous to say the least.
Of course, if Will.I.Am or his associates did use physical force to get their point across, they are clearly in the wrong, but this whole exchange of words makes a middle school female slumber party look like a round table discussion of Nobel Prize winners. You know you've been to such a roundtable.
Also, who the hell uses 'DipDive'? On a mildly more relevant note, though, am I missing something or isn't Perez Hilton famously a homosexual? Did he really just use 'gay' and 'faggot' as forms of insults? What's next, Will.I.Am fires back by dropping the N-bomb on Perez?
Regardless, Perez truly does not need the publicity, and while his initially professional-sounding statement deteriorates into a wild curse-off culminating in declaring Fergie a 'fugly bitch,' he remains the victim in this situation and in the name of bloggers everywhere, we wish him the best.
